Address markings on barrel "ADDRESS SAML COLT NEWYORK CITY" Frame marked - "COLT'S/ PATENT/U.S." on left side of frame. Cylinder scene of Ranger and Indian fight . Square backed trigger guard, Oval cylinder stop slots. Three different models and some variations. Military (U.S.) and civilian models. This gun was made in 1849. Other variations. Top

Colt First Model Dragoon Single action .44 caliber percussion. 6 shot. 71/2 inch part octagon, part round barrel. Address markings on barrel "ADDRESS SAML COLT NEWYORK CITY" Frame marked - "COLT'S/ PATENT/U.S." on left side of frame. Cylinder scene of Ranger and Indian fight . Square backed trigger guard, Oval cylinder stop slots. Three different models and some variations. Military (U.S.) and civilian models. This gun was made in 1849.
