            Thank you for your interest in our website. The Spirit of the Old West is a website for those who answer the call of the OLD WEST! People interested in the history and artifacts of the Fur Trade, Civil War, Indian Wars, Cowboy and Native art and collectibles, shows, shooting, re-enactments, cool gear and looking good. For people who live, or like to travel in the old west, and who enjoy the western landscape and its wildlife.

            We consider the term "Old West" as synonymous with the 1800's or earlier, therefore we have web pages for all 50 states and all the provinces of Canada. We hope to provide collectors, travelers and people who are interested in the old west with information about collectibles, historical events, places and people of the 1800's. We also provide information on historic sites, shows, events, tours, organizations and places to go to enjoy the nostalgia of the Old West. To sum it all up "Where to Go & What to Know"!

We have only recently begun this website, so with your help, we have much to do to get it where we want it!

We are a for-profit website. We sell advertising space to commercial businesses and promote "Old West related " Non-profit Societies and their events & festivals  - for FREE!   We are adding more information every day! We encourage your input - send us information and pictures of your favorite collectibles or travels. We welcome your suggestions to improve our website. We want to make our website as up-to-date and informative as possible!
